A few extra shots and close-ups of the "Solosicle" used in
Han on Ice (7-3-09)This is the first shot taken... you will notice the considerable condensation (frost) on it. As a side note, the stick doesn't actually go into the block of ice. I simply cut the stick down, wet the end and held it in place in the freeze. Ya know... classic triple dog dare, stick your tongue to the flag pole type of thing.
The detail really came out better than I expected on this...
Towards the end of the shoot... we had a little melting.
Here are a couple of earlier test productions (along with my mold) that have succumbed to time, handling and the repeated opening of the freezer door.
